Driving, The law, and a Job

In this day and age having a car is a necessity,  it takes you from a to b. For all those who drive vans and bikes it’s the same. With an ever increasing population there will be more traffic on the road.
More rules and regulations,  what to do. Well you have the health people saying if you have a cold or flue don’t drive. Your boss tells you if your sick more than 3 times your out of a job. What do you do?

Reading newspaper articles that tell you about what’s good for you but never tell you the practical realisation of what will happen when you don’t go to work.

1. Stats that boggle the mind,  1 in 20 people can sleep at the wheel due to sleep apnoea! If this actually happened Britain would come to a stand still. If this was the case why does the government law let drivers such as this drive as you shouldn’t get fired for something that’s a medical condition by a GP.

2. Colds can half concentration! If this is true better make self driving cars a priority or again mass accidents will happen not that you see many if any due to this. Months from Sept to March due to weather should be lenient months at the work place and a government legislation to enforce.

3. Eye conditions making and looking at wind mirrors useless!
Well those who wear glasses and contacts are really in trouble as if you belive the newspapers you might not see what you should like a cycalist or a pedestrian. If you have glaucoma that’s it no more driving.

4.those who have allergies well they are in trouble as they sneeze and at that point close your eyes.  I’d say if your eyes are not on the road and the government says this you can cause an argument. Short of taping your eyelids not much can do. If you take tablets problems as pills and driving is never a good sign.

What I have to say is take everything you read with a pinch of salt.

Driving cars,  buying cars,  selling cars please always do it in a way that’s responsible.
